PolimiRide Piacenza 2025
The fourth edition of PoliMiRide, the cycling event organized by the Politecnico di Milano, took place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, connecting Piacenza with the Val Trebbia. Over 1,100 participants, the “PolimiRiders,” chose between two road routes: a 29 km course and a 71 km course with a total elevation gain of 960 meters. Both routes started and finished in Piacenza, allowing cyclists to enjoy urban streets and scenic landscapes.
The short, non-competitive route passed through Vallera, Gossolengo, Caratta, and Pittolo, offering a friendly and accessible experience for families and beginners. The longer, competitive route extended along Strada Agazzana, crossed the Ponte di Tuna, and continued through Pigazzano, Monticello, Bobbiano, and Travo, before returning to the city. Both routes highlighted the region’s stunning landscapes, blending urban streets with rolling hills and picturesque villages.
At the finish line, cyclists were warmly welcomed by Donatella Sciuto, Rector of the Politecnico di Milano, and local authorities, including Mario Dadati (Sports) and Francesco Brianzi (University). The day concluded with the traditional Pasta Party, where riders refueled and shared stories from the ride, celebrating both effort and camaraderie.
PolimiRide 2025 embodied the Politecnico di Milano’s commitment to sport, sustainable mobility, and engagement with local communities. By connecting urban streets with surrounding hills, the event encouraged riders of all levels to embrace cycling as both a recreational and environmentally conscious activity. With collaboration from local authorities and businesses, the PolimiRide created a shared experience that celebrated the spirit of Piacenza while fostering friendships, teamwork, and a love for active living.
