PolimiRun Winter 2025

“A river of pink has colored Lecco today,” said Mayor Mauro Gattinoni, commenting with enthusiasm on the PolimiRun Winter 2025, the urban trail run organized by the Politecnico di Milano and powered by adidas Terrex, held this morning, Sunday, November 9th, 2025. The mayor himself joined the run, demonstrating his passion for running and connecting with the city and its community.

The 10 km route started at the Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano and took runners through the city, heading north toward the surrounding hills and scenic villages. The combination of urban streets, gentle climbs, and trails offered participants a unique way to experience Lecco, discovering its hidden corners while enjoying a challenging and fun workout.

Nestled at the foot of the Alps and along Lake Como, Lecco offers a perfect mix of city life, history, and natural landscapes. Its historic streets, lakeside promenades, and charming small villages create a picturesque backdrop for outdoor activities. PolimiRun highlighted the city as more than just a host location: it became a living classroom for students and visitors to connect with the territory, experience local culture, and embrace active mobility in everyday life.
