Behind the Scenes of Swan Lake at Teatro alla Scala
Swan Lake is one of the most iconic ballets in the world. Its music, choreography, and story of love, magic, and transformation have captivated audiences for generations. Performing this masterpiece requires extraordinary skill and dedication from dancers, musicians, and the entire creative team. Experiencing it live is an emotional journey, and having the opportunity to witness it from a closer perspective adds a completely new layer to its beauty.
Teatro alla Scala: a historic cultural landmark
Teatro alla Scala in Milan is not just a theater; it is a symbol of Italian culture and artistic excellence. Since its opening in 1778, La Scala has hosted countless premieres, legendary performances, and world-renowned artists. Every visit is a reminder of the theater’s rich history and its commitment to preserving and celebrating the performing arts. Being there is a chance to connect with centuries of tradition while enjoying cutting-edge productions.
The Under35 community and my role as Social Ambassador
The Under35 initiative at La Scala is a remarkable program that gives young people a voice and a way to engage with the theater in a meaningful way. As part of this vibrant community, I had the honor of being appointed Social Ambassador, representing our peers and sharing the theater’s magic through my channels. As part of this role, we created a short video for the Social Ambassador campaign, capturing the beauty and energy of Swan Lake. The video was realized in collaboration with Francesca Pedroni, an expert in dance, and Martina Arduino, first ballerina of Teatro alla Scala, which made the experience even more enriching and inspiring.
This role also allowed me to go behind the scenes, meet artists, attend rehearsals, and discover the meticulous work that goes into every performance. Beyond the stage, the program fosters networking and connections among young theater lovers, offering special moments at the Ridotto Toscanini before shows, artist talks, and unique cultural events. Being part of this community is about more than just attending performances; it is about living the theater, sharing experiences, and inspiring others to appreciate the arts. Through the Social Ambassador project, I could bring all of this energy and passion to a wider audience, bridging the gap between the theater and the young people who love it.
Experiencing Swan Lake at La Scala as a Social Ambassador has been unforgettable. From the emotion of the performance to the behind-the-scenes insights, the collaboration with inspiring professionals, and the lively Under35 community, it was a chance to connect with art, people, and tradition in a deeply meaningful way. I am grateful to La Scala and the Under35 program for this unique opportunity, and I look forward to sharing more cultural experiences, inspiring moments, and stories from the world of performing arts.
